Aluminum boats seem almost impervious to the elements of nature and salt water compared to fiberglass and gel coat. I hardly ever see any aluminum boats here in southwest Florida. I wonder why they're not more popular? Any of you salt water guys drive aluminum boats? How do they compare and what are the typical problems you have with them?
