Ice Fishing in Canada

We are visiting friends in Ontario, Canada in two weeks and my friend told me to bring our fishing gear. She said the fishing huts are on the river and they are catching fish. They ice fish every year when the river they are on freezes. It's quite the sight with all these fishing huts on the frozen river and people driving their trucks up to the huts.

Done correctly, ice fishing is a lot of fun and a very productive way to catch fish. It is a winter social event. Lots of people use snow machines to access their favorite spots.

This has been a dream of mine for a long time. I would absolutely love to go ice fishing someday. It is on my list of things I must do in my lifetime!
