So the company doesn't support the idea of law enforcement? I'm not sure that is very good public relations. I hope the public boycotts them for it.

In our town, anything lost can be advertised in the local newspaper free of charge. Maybe the papers in your area offer a similar service to the community. If no one responds, it could be that you and the puppy were destined for one another. Have you named her yet?

I live in the Pacific Northwest, which is practically synonomous with Gortex. It is the most breathable rain and wind shell material I've ever used. There is a spray that can be used to restore water repellancy as required. I used it and it worked fine.

I did a bit of research and found several companies that sell bicycle motor kits. The motor come as gasoline versions or electric versions. You can just add a motor to your existing bicycle. I'm liking this idea!

Does anyone know if bikes are made with small motors? I would like to ride my bike to work this summer. It's only about ten miles, but there are some serious hills along the way.

A little bear bell attached to your knap sack does wonders to warn whatever wild creatures may be near that you are in the vicinity. A little fair warning goes a long way for avoiding confrontation.

My uncle got me hooked when I was about 13. That was over 50 years ago. Since then, I've read a lot of classic literature on the subject and I'm still hooked.

You could find out who voted against aid for Sandy victims. What is stunning is that it's a lot of people from places that have lots of hurricanes and that recieved lots of help in years past......stunning.

At least you have to give them credit for taking a stand on an issue. They obviously felt strongly enough about it that they were willing to give up some profits. That says something. It's certainly making a lot of people stop and think.

Although it is in the 30s where I live, I would take my boat and fish if I had a decent heater. The boat is equipped with a canvas enclosure (sort of like a tent). Can anyone recommend a good and safe heater?

I think it is a great product, and I swear by it. I have been using it for years, and it is so effective that I have never felt the need to try anything else for waterproofing.

At some point, I think every American should make a trip to Yellowstone. It is one of our greatest national treasures and well worth the time and effort involved.
