I have a tent that has a couple slits in the top. Not exactly sure how they got there. One is about 2 1/2 inches long. The other is 3 to 4 inches long. Is it worth trying to repair these types of tears or is it better to just replace the tent? The rest of the tent is still like new.

Well, what do you think? Do you prefer modern campsites or primitive? I like the conveniences of modern campgrounds with the electricity and bathrooms. There is something to be said though for primitive camping. Fewer campers is a big plus. I like getting off by myself, just me and nature...

I have the opportunity to travel to Alaska for a Yukon wilderness trip. I am going to need a warmer sleeping bag than what I use in Arizona. Does anyone have any recommendations for good cold weather gear?
