Leaving grill out all winter

We just unhook the propane and cover it with a tarp.

All year around here. Use it at least once a week, sometimes more. Depends on how busy I am.

My dad leaves his barbecue out all winter. He will wrap it in a gigantic tarp and tie it tight with a rope. It works fine every year after the snow has melted. Heck, sometimes he'll even use it in the middle of the winter if the conditions are not too bad.

Not sure how the tarp helps a metal object. It probably just traps moisture in there and accelerates rust.
