This is one of our favorites during the winter. One deboned can of salmon, a gallon of milk, a stick of butter and salt and pepper to taste. Add a ton of crackers to your bowl, a dash of hot sauce and you've got a tasty meal!:tinysmile_fatgrin_t

A whole gallon of milk? One can of salmon actually is enough for all that milk? I'm all for simple, but that sounds like it would be watered down, flavor-wise. I've never thought of trying salmon chowder, but I'll have to play around with it now, as I do like salmon.

May I suggest smoked salmon instead of canned? The strong flavor is great on top of a Ceasar salad, a pasta dish, or soup. Canned salmon is okay. Smoked trout works well too.
