We got out on our local lake last weekend for a morning paddle. It was cool with the clouds resting on the top of the hillsIMG_20230813_090302382.jpg I was very surprised that the bass boats weren't zooming around every where.IMG_20230813_090306377.jpgIMG_20230813_091952338.jpgIMG_20230813_091952338.jpgIMG_20230813_094612369.jpgIMG_20230813_100244944.jpg
The sun was burning thru the fog about the time we got back to the vehicle.

-----> I took this trip with you again this morning - sort of a reminder that the joy of such experiences will be coming our way again soon. Now and then I look at the canoe sleeping away on top of the shed. Sometimes I get the urge to give it a nudge just to make sure it's still alive.

some years ago I was kneeling in my old Sawyer Cruiser one quiet morning. I had my two favorite dogs in the boat and they were resting quietly. I paddled past a guy drinking coffee on the shore. I said hello and then he asked "Are those two on their honeymoon?" Made my day.

Sometimes I'll re-read them when I can't get out. The temperature has been creeping up close to 60F degrees here, but been to busy with work to get out. I don't like cold weather or cold water.
