It seems to me that most of us, certainly me, have a tendency to stay in our comfortable space. The known and true, the feeling of security and familiarity become part of our makeup. But I was thinking, "Ya know there are gorgeous places everywhere and most are in driving distance from my home."

So I was sort of thinking a Georgian Bay trip might be in order. I'm going to be thinking about it during the cold winter months.

So what's so interesting about this possible trip that is four hours away?

First of all, it has 30,000 islands of various sizes and dimensions. There are 32 historic lighthouses and it's the world's largest freshwater archipelago.

What do you think?

I think you should do what ever you want.
My dream trips were Ireland, Italy, Jamaica, Hawaii, Alaska, and Europe in general. Now I like North America.
In the outdoors, It was the Chilkoot Trail, horse and mule packing in Colorado, Wyoming and California. Boat trips on rivers in 7 states. Road trips to all 50 states. The only things on the list I did not do, are a canoe trip in the Far North and I never went Dall sheep hunting in Alaska.
